As the title says, this was inspired by the fact that Old Li and Hagiwara Kenji are both voiced in Japanese by Miki Shinichiro. (You guys, don't associate voice actors with the characters they play.jpg!) (I really love this voice actor gag.)
I'm writing a weird mix of things, so here's a strange meal for you all to try. (I'm a multishipper myself.) As long as you don't mind my bad writing and typos, we're good.
The female protagonist is transmigrated into a man's body, with Furuya Rei (Amuro Toru/Bourbon) as the love interest. The pairing has no fixed top or bottom (so is this HagiRei? ReiHagi? KoiRei? ReiKoi?). She joins the Black Organization.
I really love Zero. My protagonist in another fic, Black Cherry, is paired with Gin, but that's fine. They're all my wings (?).
Since we're swapping childhood friends, let's commit to it all the way. The secondary pairing is HikaMatsu/MatsuHika, with no fixed top or bottom. Since the protagonist joins the Black Organization, Hiromitsu escapes from it.
The whole Police Academy crew saves themselves, and various factors butterfly away everyone else's deaths, so there are some personal headcanons (for example, Old Li is 193 cm tall. Online sources give Hagiwara Kenji's height as both 163 and 192 cm, but in this story he's 193 cm). Some parts may also have plot holes because my brain isn't up to the task...
I'm not an Old Li fan (I'm a Lappland fan!), but I have written a strange Old Li ficlet before (dog holding a rose in its mouth.jpg).
The protagonist Omar's chapters are in first person. Everyone else's perspectives are in third person.
The main perspective is the protagonist's, with Amuro Toru's perspective as a secondary one. Matsuda and Hiromitsu's perspectives appear in bonus chapters.
Probably a short, lighthearted story (?). I'll write some what-if bonus chapters and things like that...
