Synopsis
Coming soon: "Good at Going Crazy and Making Others Pay (Quick Transmigration)." Blurb below.
Mu Zhongqing was born under the red flag and raised in the spring breeze. After graduating, she landed a stable government job and returned to her hometown to help local farmers, only to die suddenly from overwork.
When she opens her eyes, she's in another world, in the Jin Dynasty, a dynasty that never existed in history.
Mu Zhongqing is a concubine-born daughter of the Mu family. An imperial decree has arranged her marriage to Qin Che, Prince Qing, a man whose achievements threaten the throne and who commands the troops along the southern frontier.
Everyone knows the current emperor is wary of Qin Che, while the Mu family is a trusted ally of the emperor. They oversee the Ministry of Revenue and often clash with Qin Che over military provisions.
The night before the wedding.
Her cheap father says, "You're a daughter of the Mu family, so you have to stand with us. Find a way to send back every bit of information you can from Prince Qing's residence."
Later, Mu Zhongqing follows Qin Che to the humid southern frontier.
Qin Che thinks this pampered young lady from a prominent family won't be able to handle life in the south. Instead, Mu Zhongqing combines what she knows about agriculture with traditional farming techniques, leading the soldiers and farmers in reclaiming land and expanding production until they can grow enough food to feed themselves!
Mu Zhongqing: "Who cares about political scheming? Developing agriculture matters far more!"
This is the story of a double agent who's full of holes and speaks before she thinks, with a touch of idealism!
Content warnings:
1. One-on-one romance, happy ending. The heroine is a loyal, patriotic woman with a heart true to her country. Don't read if that's not your thing. Sweet and smooth sailing, with the heroine at the center. She won't be put through misery.
2. The farming is literal, but it won't take up too much of the story. The focus is mainly on the heroine's growth and efforts to change things.
3. Some settings draw on historical institutions, but there are plenty of original details. Historical nitpicking is not welcome.
4. The writing is average and won't have much of an archaic feel. Feel free to drop it if it's not for you. No writing advice or personal attacks. No need to announce when you drop the story. Let's part on good terms.
