↓ Synopsis for the upcoming novel at the bottom ↓
The Illusion Beasts are known as the strongest fantasy species in the galaxy.
They have claws that can cut through iron, wings that can blot out the sky, exceptional magical talent, and tough coats that can withstand any small- or medium-sized star cannon without a scratch. A single strike can destroy a planet.
Even fully grown dragons in their prime are somewhat inferior to them.
But few people know that their childhood is both fragile and long. Even the lowest-ranking ordinary beasts can overpower them, and they can only make it through safely with careful care.
What's more, the Illusion Beast clan has an extremely low birth rate. Every young cub is a treasure cherished by the entire clan.
But their treasure went missing.
They called in every favor they could and spent five years searching the entire galaxy. Only by consulting the Guizhong line, renowned for its gift of prophecy, did they find a few clues in scattered fragments.
Three years later, a beast tamer from a fallen family on a remote planet would come to them. He would show them the unique magical power that only appears when an Illusion Beast willingly forms a contract, and tell them the devastating news: the cub had died in an accident a year earlier.
Fortunately, there was still time. The cub had two years left to live.
After finding the clues, the Illusion Beast clan prepared lavish gifts to thank the beast tamer for caring for their cub. They gathered everything the cub might need, practiced wearing their gentlest expressions, and set out for the remote planet to search for their little one.
A dying, patchy gray ball of fluff, fleeing its pursuers in blind panic, accidentally crashed into them. It tensed up and hissed at them ferociously.
That was the cub they'd spent five years searching for.
Upcoming novel synopsis:
In the year 2709 of the Star Calendar, an object named the Calamity Core came from beyond the stars, beginning a thousand-year struggle between humanity and the Fallen.
To resist the Fallen's attacks, humanity established the Order Court, an organization made up entirely of spirit wielders with special abilities. It was led by the three most powerful spirit wielders, who were honored as the Deliverers.
But on the throne surrounded by those three Deliverers, behind a curtain hidden from the world, there was a mysterious figure known as the "Savior."
They said she possessed power vast enough to rival the gods. They said her icy golden eyes could see through every possible future and every illusion. They said she was a master strategist, capable of anything, secretly controlling the entire organization.
So everyone believed she was invincible and would never need their concern. They readily entrusted every problem they couldn't solve to her.
Until the squad she had personally named the "Kindling" faced a powerful Fallen. After the battle, they caught the figure as she staggered and nearly fell, and saw the face that had always been hidden beneath the cloak.
Only then did everyone realize that beneath the cloak representing absolute power and authority, there was no invincible deity. There was only a body worn out and covered in scars, and eyes so hollow and lifeless that they could barely reflect a glimmer of light.
She was a child, still young enough to deserve love and care, even in an age like this.
So what had they all been doing before this?
