Completed [Twisted, Obsessive, and Unpredictable Sickly Bottom x Cold, Dominant, and Scheming Top]
From the day Xuan Ying moved into his mother's new home, he made no effort to hide his hostility toward his stepfather's family.
Unfortunately, a nephew of his stepfather's, surnamed Yang, kept getting in his way.
Yang Ruwu was a renowned attorney, brilliant and well-respected. There was no case he couldn't resolve once it landed in his hands.
Xuan Ying suffered one defeat after another at his hands, and from then on, held a grudge against him all on his own.
Their grudge began to thaw one winter night, when Xuan Ying had a huge argument at home and stormed out in a fury.
He hadn't made it far from the house when he suddenly couldn't catch his breath and collapsed on the ground.
Luckily, Yang Ruwu had followed him and saved his life.
While waiting for him to wake up in the hospital, Yang Ruwu heard the person in the bed alternately mumbling in his sleep and crying.
He gently took Xuan Ying by the wrist and suddenly understood: all of Xuan Ying's seemingly irrational behavior had a reason behind it.
After Xuan Ying recovered, their relationship gradually improved.
Yang Ruwu asked gently, "How about calling me 'big brother'?"
Xuan Ying's expression changed. "As if you deserve it!"
Yang Ruwu gazed at him and smiled calmly.
He thought that perhaps he really didn't deserve it.
As it turned out, their relationship went far beyond the title of "brothers." Late at night, in bed, they plunged together into a sea of desire, again and again.
But Yang Ruwu never expected Xuan Ying to leave him without looking back.
After leaving everyone behind, Xuan Ying hid in an empty house among the trees. Under the swaying orange light, he gazed at the storm-tossed world outside the window and kept thinking of that man's face.
Here, Xuan Ying sought redemption and repented for the love he had betrayed. In the end, he picked up his pen and wrote a short letter.
"I sent you a letter, so you can't say I left without a word."
Yang Ruwu stared at those few words, crumpled the letter several times, then calmly set it alight.
The flames danced slowly along the edge of his glasses. He watched coldly as the fire at his fingertips dimmed, and when the last of it had burned away, he took out a cigarette, brought it close, and lit it.
His voice held both tenderness and cruelty. "You still need to be taught a lesson."
Reader's Guide:
1. About the romance: Neither lead has a clean romantic history. The bottom has a steady sex partner early on and is a sickly top [No actual romantic history]; the top has a romantic past [it is in the past and not shown in the story]. A mature romance. After they commit to each other, they are exclusive in body and heart.
2. The bottom has bipolar disorder. There are scenes depicting his episodes, and in everyday life he sometimes can't control his emotions.
3. [Sickly Dependence x Older, Controlling Top]. The top is seven years older than the bottom. Yang is the top and Xuan is the bottom [No role reversal].
4. No taking sides. Not purely sweet; expect both angst and sweetness.

Wu Chuo used to be a favorite topic of gossip over tea in the hardware market. His parents had him in their fifties, and his older brother's son was the same age as him.
Later, after his parents and brother and sister-in-law all died, Wu Chuo looked at his nephew running around like a madman and learned the meaning of the words "accept your fate."
Finding Li Yu's ID card was a coincidence. Just as Wu Chuo made out the photo next to the name, a hand reached out in front of him, its owner sounding rather impatient.
"Mine."
The huge gap between the glittering big city and the old, noisy urban village in the county town left Li Yu visibly annoyed and irritated from head to toe.
He hated this place more than anything.
But here, he met someone.
The man lived across the hall from him. He was a smart-mouth, sharp-tongued, and so full of schemes he was like a hornet's nest.
And yet, because of him, Li Yu gradually began to feel reluctant to leave this place.
After a heavy rain, half of the unsafe building where Li Yu lived collapsed, and Wu Chuo opened his door wide and took him in.
Steam rising in the bathroom obscured Wu Chuo's eyes and blurred Li Yu's vision.
They stood silent in the mist, seeming to face each other down, or perhaps hesitating.
The instant Wu Chuo turned to switch on the light, Li Yu reached out, shoved him against the wall, and kissed him, his head tilted to the side.
The bewilderment of being in an unfamiliar place became two pairs of tightly clasped hands.
Those same hands also taught Wu Chuo that he didn't have to accept his fate.
Theme: Bitter medicine heals; old wounds can mend.
The writing is really good. In fact, the characters of Gong and Shou are not my favorite type, but this is a very good story. Xuanxuan is very, very courageous. After experiencing so many hardships, he still wants to come out on his own. Fortunately, he has also met a lover who is willing to accompany him to come out together. In the first half of the story, I disliked Yang Lu very much, but after he slowly fell in love with Xuanxuan, watching him give in for Xuanxuan, watching him endure for Xuanxuan, I felt that this relationship had a perfect ending. I really liked the end of the text, Xuanying was in his prime, and Xuanying was a hundred years old.
Then the author's writing style is very good. I haven't read a novel with a purely emotional line for a long time. The overall reading is very smooth. Moreover, the author does not reveal the hurt Xuanxuan suffered at the beginning, but reveals it bit by bit as the story develops. It is not a complete God's perspective.
(Let's just say it in a messy way, but the article is really good)
I'm so happy that a friend recommended me to read it. So well written. There is no magic cure for illness, you just have to rely on yourself and the people who love you to get over it slowly. Presumably Yang Rumei is also curing his own paranoia. A great mutual redemption and a beautiful ending. By the way, does anyone know their exact ages?
This is my first long review. (This is the first unpopular treasure I found hehe) (That's totally wrong, why is my language organization ability so poor)
I like the character design of the deputy CP very much. The love that is firmly chosen is really the best (I am at a loss for words)
Such a treasured work should be popular ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. (...)
I read this book intermittently. In the middle, I flipped through the chapter list, and then I saw the chapter "Mental Hospital" (although at that time, I preconceptionally thought that Yang Lu had sent Xuan Ying into it... Dbq). In addition, I always felt that Yang Lu was too calm and didn't seem to be emotionally invested, so I didn't dare to continue reading. I was afraid that Xuan Ying would be hurt again. But I really like the character Xuan Ying (plus the author really writes it well), so I still choose to continue reading it after a long time. Xuan Ying has his own standards of conduct and has always made a clear distinction between good and bad. When I saw him running out of the He family after being wronged, standing stiffly and unable to control his body, I was actually very happy that Yang Lu could stand in front of Xuan Ying. Later, Xuan Ying's past was revealed, and I understood what the chapter title of the mental hospital meant when I saw it. Later, Xuan Ying tried to escape the clutches of illness because of Yang Lu, for himself and his family; and even when he was extremely dependent on Yang Lu, he was still able to firmly choose to move towards the future independently together. And Yang Lu's unique way of treating Xuan Ying also made Xuan Ying slowly come out of the shadows. I am very happy to get to know Xuan Ying and Yang Lu in this way and understand their stories. I can't exactly describe what kind of person Xuan Ying is. Toughness, kindness, and child-like nature are just part of him. But it is precisely because of his complex and difficult-to-reflect character that makes me like Xuan Ying more, a real Xuan Ying; for Yang Lu, I was a little disgusted at first, but then I agreed after watching it. Yang Lu's essential madness and his unique mature reason are just right for Xuan Ying, a person who needs strong emotions and is a bit naive. And after being with Yang Lu, Xuan Ying's happiness and agility are visible to the naked eye. Let's look at family ties again. For Xuan's mother, people can't hate her but can't love her either. Her abandonment is a fact, and her avoidance of the past after she comes back is another hurt. Sometimes I want to sigh, even if there are so many years missing in between, the mother and son hurt themselves in exactly the same way. Every time when He Jiajian is in a tense atmosphere, I actually think in my heart that it would be great if Xuan Wenlin was really still around... Then Xuan Ying would be happy. I am very grateful to the author for bringing us such a cactus-like Xuanying. I also hope that Xuan Ying and Yang Lu will identify their love for each other countless times in their quarreling lives. I also hope that Xuan Ying will take big steps to move forward. Please stay happy like this...
