Kindred

Li Muqun, an aloof, cold-hearted lawyer, never imagined he could fall in love. To him, feelings had never been anywhere near as practical as money. When love came knocking, he resisted, ran from it, and hesitated, but it was all in vain. When that man stood before him, he found he had no strength to resist him at all. Just as he was losing himself in love, a bolt from the blue shattered his dream. It turned out that the man's tenderness, his embraces, their passionate intimacy, everything, had all been a lie, and the deception had been motivated by revenge against him. The young and promising entrepreneur Leng Shaoyang had dreamed of this day for ages. Shouldn't he be happy to see a man who had once been so confident and imposing become ensnared in the carefully crafted trap of love? Then why did he feel guilty? The thought of calling off his revenge had crossed his mind more than once, but in the end, reason overcame emotion. He raised the invisible yet razor-sharp dagger and plunged it into the man's heart. Only when he saw the pain and desolation on his face did he realize a truth he would never be willing to admit.
