Everyone knows that laughing too loudly at a blurb really can make you transmigrate into a book.
Chu Zhao was one such unlucky little soul.
One moment, she was laughing uproariously at the "she runs, he chases" blurb of The Runaway Sweetheart: The First Emperor's Thirty-Three Days of Pursuit.
The next, she appeared at the Qin dynasty's sacrificial ceremony, with a huge portrait of herself displayed on the sky screen above. Addressing all under heaven in a stirring voice, it declared:
[She came bearing Heaven's mandate. Before she had even turned twenty, she ended the chaos at the end of the Qin dynasty, swept across the Nine Provinces, and unified China;
She subdued the four seas and protected the people. With her own hand, she ushered in the prosperous Yuanxi era, earning the title "Heavenly Khan" from the nations that came to pay tribute;
She was a heaven-sent genius, learned in both the arts and sciences. She laid the foundations of modern industrial disciplines, advancing civilization by more than a thousand years;
She is the famous Heaven's Chosen Daughter in history: Emperor Chen of the Rong dynasty, its founding ruler, Chu! Zhao!]
Looking at the hundred thousand troops glaring at her and the First Emperor seated above, his gaze amused, five-year-old Chu Zhao was completely stunned:
Oh, so that's what "she runs, he chases" means.

In the thirtieth year of King Zheng of Qin, a sky screen suddenly appeared, recounting past and future events and passing judgment on right and wrong. It was suspected to come from people of a later age.
The sky screen spoke of the fate of the Great Qin: it would end after two generations. The assembled officials were all grief-stricken.
The sky screen then said that after Qin fell, a female ruler favored by Heaven's mandate would rise and establish a new dynasty. The officials heard this, and felt both anger and jealousy.
Finally, the sky screen revealed that this female ruler was actually the First Emperor's illegitimate daughter, a pearl he had left outside his household. The officials' sorrow turned to joy, and they sang and danced in welcome, all calling for the empress to ascend the throne.

One day after she was reunited with her ancestral family--
First Emperor: I wish to cultivate immortality and live forever.
Chu Zhao: Father, you've lost your wits! Have you not heard, "Flesh is frail, mechanical ascension is the way"?
First Emperor: ?
Chu Zhao: Cultivating immortality can't compare to investing in science and technology. It's time to let Great Qin witness the power of the Industrial Revolution!

Since she had the rare chance to transmigrate into a book, all she wanted was this:
That no one would look upon starving corpses, and no frozen bodies would lie on the roads; that women in fine dresses would be seen at court, and the sound of reading would fill the land.
Note 1: This is an alternate-history transmigration story, not historical fact.
Note 2: This is a feel-good power fantasy for fun. I'll try to reconcile any differences from historical facts, but it's a work of fiction and includes original elements.
Please check out my upcoming novel:
Going Off the Rails! Starting with Selling Out the Whole World
Note: This is unhinged fiction. Readers in a stable state of mind should use caution and stay away.
Reborn 99 times, the tragic-romance heroine Feng Yu killed the male lead 99 times, killed her whole family 66 times, and destroyed the world 33 times.
The small world's Heaven, which kept resetting the timeline as the plot went so far off the rails even its creator wouldn't recognize it, cried out: Help! Somebody take this lunatic away!
The greater world's Heaven: ...
Why argue with her? Doesn't she just want to be the heroine of a feel-good power fantasy? Put her in a different world and let her be one.
The small world's Heaven: Q_Q Then what golden finger should I give her for the power fantasy?
The greater world's Heaven silently lit a cigarette. "Search for the apps humans use most. See what people want on them and give her that."
The small world's Heaven, transformed into a System: So I search for the most popular keywords across apps, right? Got it, got it.

Feng Yu had always thought something was wrong with the world she lived in.
Why were the parents who treated her as though she'd won the genetic lottery suddenly trying to harvest her kidneys?
Why was the omnipresent Security Bureau unable to deal with even one legally illiterate CEO who had illegally imprisoned someone?
Why had everyone suddenly become idle enough to bully her and use her sister, whom she had never even met, to emotionally manipulate her?
Feng Yu thought everyone around her had lost their minds. She exhausted herself dealing with every threat, only to open her eyes and find herself back at the beginning.
Oh, so she was reborn?
This world definitely had a problem.
So she killed the male lead and was reborn... killed the male lead, killed his whole family, and was reborn... She was tired. Let the world end... then she was reborn again...
By her hundredth life, Feng Yu was completely exhausted. Whatever happened, happened. But when she opened her eyes, she had already left her original world.
A thing claiming to be a System floated in front of her. "Hello, Host. Welcome to the Quick Transmigration System. Your first golden finger is [Sell the Legitimate and Illegitimate Children]."
[World 1] The legitimate-versus-illegitimate children genre in a cultivation world: Is it reasonable for me, the legitimate-born beggar, to sell off the illegitimate-born ancestor?
[World 2] The many-children genre in a modern paranormal world: Tsk, they expect me to save the world by giving birth to 108 children for ghosts? Then it makes perfect sense for my golden finger to be that anyone (or any ghost) I glare at gets pregnant, right?
[World 3] Cyberpunk mother-in-law and daughter-in-law drama: Today, even if the alien Zerg show up, they still have to kneel in anti-matter high heels on a floor made of strong-interaction materials and wash the feet of their android mother-in-law.
Theme: When you become prosperous, help the world
Damn, he really became a prophet. According to the status of women in the nomadic people at this time, coupled with this arrogant attitude, marrying Zhao Zhao is indeed similar to the idea of exterminating the family (although there is no such thing as extermination now). Guys who think that as soon as a woman gets married, she will sacrifice everything for her husband's family and think about the lower body, have been the same since ancient times, bah bah bah.
The clan needs to be reformed, the old guard needs to be killed, and more female clans should be supported.
I'm really convinced. If the author really can't update the article, he can ask for leave, but it can't be like this. The leave note is followed by the leave note, and the leave note is followed by the leave note, and the leave note is followed by the leave note! At least three or four times, I checked after the leave request time to see if it had been updated. What I saw was the new leave request. If the author really didn't have time, he could make the leave request longer so that he could look forward to it again and again. It felt uncomfortable to click in and only see the new leave request.
Isn't the time for leave over? Why haven't you seen an update yet? Are you planning to trick him?

When will you update again?
More! ! ! More! ! ! Finally waiting for you! ! ! ! !
I just got into the trap and I saw the comments were from 10 months ago! ! Wc
Doesn't the author have an accurate time for updates?
It's been a few days, why haven't you?
Why is this Zong Zheng so stupid that he can't see the situation clearly? Will he have a good life when the heroine takes over?
