Du Jiqing grimaced. "I'm spoiled rotten." The General: "I'll take care of you." Du Jiqing finally snapped. "I can't change my nature. I'm fickle and flirt with everyone!" The General, who had kept his eyes closed, quietly opened his golden eyes. His expression was indifferent, yet sent a chill through everyone who saw it. "You wouldn't dare!" Once he learned he could escape the first day of the month, but not the fifteenth, Du Jiqing soon accepted reality. His General was busy with official duties and only came home once every ten days or half a month. Du Jiqing ate and drank as he pleased, only needing to watch out for his exes coming to collect on their old love debts. What a carefree life. He had thought his relationship with the General was just an act, but when the gossip hit a little too close to home, he learned the truth: he was the General's unattainable black moonlight, and the marriage was meant to settle a score. Before the other man could fall any deeper, Du Jiqing went to negotiate, his knees trembling. "General, I... could I retire early?"
