The person Song He had his eye on this time was a college student at a sports university.
He was tall and sturdy, handsome and sweet-talking. After three dates, Song He was satisfied and planned to take things further.
Once they had agreed on the price, they moved on to the final step: taking him for a medical checkup.
Song He was a germaphobe. He hated anything dirty, in every sense of the word.
On the day of the checkup, Song He ran into his "ex-boyfriend," Huai Zuo, in the hospital's smoking room.
After several years apart, Huai Zuo had gone from an immature medical student to a doctor with a permanent hospital position. Gold-rimmed glasses sat on his high nose.
Through the smoke, Song He remembered that Huai Zuo had worn the same glasses the last time they were together.
The ones Song He had given him.
Their first words after reuniting were almost like polite small talk.
"Are you feeling unwell?"
"No." Song He ground out his cigarette and said casually, "I'm bringing someone in for a checkup."
Huai Zuo gave him a cold laugh.
Song He had no patience for his antics and turned to leave.
But Huai Zuo grabbed him and asked through gritted teeth, "Since we're going through the usual routine anyway, why not do it with someone you know?"
Song He was surprised for a few seconds, then nodded.
After all, in a certain way, Huai Zuo was hard for him to forget, too.
"Sure."
Song He glanced at the name badge identifying the man's specialty, then dropped his casual manner and put on a serious expression. He stressed, "But the doctor has to get a checkup first, too."
Huai Zuo: "..."
Hah. A checkup was the least of what he had in mind.
*A fickle, commitment-averse bottom x a devoted, true-love top
*Younger top, four-year age gap
*The top is a virgin; the bottom is not. Before meeting the top and after they split up, the bottom has other sexual partners. Proceed with caution if this is a dealbreaker.
*The top has one-sided feelings at first, while the bottom only wants him physically. Their feelings become mutual later. Proceed with caution if this isn't your thing.
*Reconciliation after a breakup from the top's perspective; reunion after years apart from the bottom's perspective. Happy ending.
