Everyone says Chi Nanjin is a wicked Demon Lord who can destroy heaven and earth, and my mission is to kill him before he rules over the Six Realms.

After I transmigrated into a book, the System gave me a bone flute. It said the Heartbreaking Notes played on it couldn't be heard by anyone else. They would only think the musician was playing a calming tune to settle the mind.
And so I had an epiphany.
Every day, I went to Chi Nanjin's bedchamber and, under the pretext of helping him cultivate his mind, relentlessly pestered him by playing for him night after night.
But for some reason, the tunes I played always sounded... well, indescribable. I could play every note, but somehow, when they were strung together, the result was unbearably strange.
Until one day, Chi Nanjin lounged in his high seat, propping his chin on one hand as usual. After patiently listening to the whole tune, he looked at me as I waited expectantly and asked whether I was playing that pile of junk because I wanted to assassinate him.
I froze, thinking my cover was blown. Cold sweat poured down my back, and I felt as if I had fallen into an icy pit.
Then the System spoke in my ear: You really should practice the flute more, Host. Your calming tune sounds even more bizarre than the Heartbreaking Notes.
Me: ...
P.S.:
1. Third-person narration, one-on-one romance.
2. Three planned standalone arcs, with different identities for the male and female leads in each world.
3. The male lead is a psychopath. Back when he was the Demon Lord, he was genuinely evil, committing countless atrocities and hated by everyone.
4. The System doesn't do much. It'll probably be the comic relief.
