I Rule Over All Humanity

Jiang Nian was a pretty face with no talent. Apart from his stunning looks, he was terrible at singing and dancing, and his acting was awful. Ever since his debut, he'd been surrounded by endless scandal and controversy, becoming the very definition of someone famous for all the wrong reasons.

He didn't care. He planned to spend a few years in show business, make enough money, then retire and live out his days at home. But for some inexplicable reason, he got pulled into an infinite survival game.

System: Mission: Clear the level. Reward: Perfect acting skills. Failure penalty: All your family members die (family members include everyone who would be executed along with you for your crimes in ancient times).

Jiang Nian: "..."

What kind of messed-up penalty was this? Shouldn't the normal penalty for failing a mission be the participant's death?

Little did he know, this was only the beginning.

As the levels grew harder, the penalties for failure became increasingly outrageous: cities wiped out, plans to eliminate the entire country's population, even global catastrophes.

Jiang Nian had no idea what he'd done to deserve becoming the fate of all humanity.

One day, a livestream appeared online. When people clicked in, they saw Jiang Nian, top of the "Most Useless Celebrity" rankings, trapped in a terrifying world and fighting for his life.

Hater 1: In my lifetime, I hope the Lord God shows no mercy and kills him!

Hater 2: Jiang Nian, stop struggling. You're useless except for your face. What can you do besides lie flat and wait to die?

Hater 3: I'd trade all my body fat for Jiang Nian to die a horrible death!

Jiang Nian completed the mission and received an extra reward: he could choose the penalty for failing the next level.

Jiang Nian: "If we fail, let all the haters die together."

Three seconds later, the haters realized what he'd said, and the comments filled with wails: No, Jiang Nian, please act like a human being!
