Synopsis
Mu Yiling entered a dungeon.
The captain had ulterior motives, his teammates looked unfriendly, and his partner was lazy. He'd been saddled with every possible debuff. After finally clearing the dungeon as the MVP, Mu Yiling received a reward for his achievements: a piece of wood.
Of course, it wasn't ordinary wood. It was rotten wood.
The rotten wood never spoke. It just quietly followed him wherever he went.
His partner asked curiously, "What can this wood do?"
Mu Yiling replied pleasantly, "You should be asking what it can't do. Let me tell you: rotten wood can't be carved into flowers! I've got more and more deadweight to carry. I might as well give up and die in the next dungeon."
The very next day, the rotten wood carved him a flower, trying its best to prove it could be useful.
Mu Yiling propped his chin in his hand and looked the rotten wood up and down, narrowing his eyes. "Hey, I have to admit, rotten wood doesn't look bad. If nothing else, it'd be perfect for warming my bed."
The next day, the rotten wood did indeed...set itself on fire.

Hui Ming Holiday Hotel was in a prime location on the outskirts of Xiaocheng, nestled among mountains and waters with beautiful scenery. On the surface, it looked like an ordinary resort hotel, but it was a haven for extraordinary people from all over the world.
The hotel had only eight floors above ground, so it didn't stand out among the city's high-rises. But the elevator display showed that it had another 100 floors below ground (-100).
In other words, the hotel had 108 floors in total, 100 of them underground.
Guests signed a life-and-death contract when they checked in, and even their looks or lifespan could be used to pay the deposit in advance.
Some said the hotel contained countless treasures and jewels, since someone who made it out alive had become the richest person in the world.
Others said it was filled with incredible luck. People who came out won the lottery's top prize, and even instant noodles came with double seasoning packets.
But most people came out missing limbs, or didn't come out alive at all.
People had no idea what had happened to them inside. They only knew the hotel's three universally recognized iron rules.
"Anyone who leaves the hotel without taking something loses their memories of being there."
"Those who take something away keep their mouths shut and never reveal what they experienced."
"Out of a thousand, only a handful survive; out of ten thousand, not one escapes unscathed."
Even so, countless people came here, some hoping to get rich overnight, others driven by obsession. Yet the hotel with only eight floors above ground never seemed to reach full capacity.
Mu Yiling came to the hotel, too. This was his second visit.
He had no memories of the hotel at all. He only knew that three years ago, he had arrived in March and left in June. On the day he came out, the sunlight at the hotel entrance was so bright that his eyes hurt, while the 108 days in between were a complete blank.
But Mu Yiling had a strange feeling: he hadn't taken something away. He'd left something behind.
Inside the hotel, were there gods full of humanity, or people with nothing but divinity?
Theme: Never give up, and good luck
