First! This is a story about the universe!

The heroine meets Snape in their first year, but disappears and returns to the eight-dimensional realm before their seventh year ends.

She comes back while Snape is lying in the Shrieking Shack. The heroine didn't leave on purpose!!

Because time is measured differently in eight dimensions! Don't nitpick the physics and astronomy!

It's just a premise! (I won't admit I asked for it because I have such a hard time grasping the concepts of time and space.)

The heroine is not perfect! She is not universally adored!! Her personality is like a peacock or a daffodil.

Lily is still the best sister.

I'll try to keep the characters in character.

I'll say it again: sci-fi purists, proceed with caution.

Adelaide Kane

A Ravenclaw witch with a cold face and a hard heart, who should have been sorted into Slytherin.

From the eighth dimension, arrogant beyond belief, and not particularly impressed by wizards. If I'm not mistaken, she's James Potter's distant cousin here.

In all of Hogwarts, Adelaide sneers, perhaps only that greasy-haired Potions prodigy has even a tiny bit of intelligence worthy of her regard.

The Potions prodigy is not pleased: You'd better rein in that arrogant tail of yours if you don't want to go meet Merlin.

Adelaide raises an eyebrow: You think you can beat me?

"Just think about your damn Potions grade. I'll try not to laugh out loud."

"That's the only A I have..." Adelaide says. Biology in the low-dimensional world has always been her weak point. She's a dueling prodigy, okay?

"It's not the only O I have..."

A solitary figure lies in the Shrieking Shack. As the white light washes over him, Snape sees a pale-blonde girl jump in through the window.

Snape struggles to keep his eyes open. They say that before you die, you see the most beautiful memories of your life. The girl who left without a word twenty years ago, the love he cherished all his life, and the last smiling face to appear before he leaves this place. Twenty years ago, she smiled and said, "Little snake, please come with me..."

For the first time, he clutches his wand and panics, wanting to run.

Twenty years later, after two decades of solitude, Snape sees her again at St. Mungo's. It turns out she really doesn't belong here.

"No, Snape, I do belong here. Starting today, I'll pursue you again." The girl smiles boldly.

"You'd better remember how you left without a word." His voice is cold and distant, yet seems to suppress a thousand unspoken words.

The same person pries open once again the box Snape had kept sealed for decades. She smiles at the little love left inside it, her eyes crinkling. "Severus, I have so much. I'll share a little with you..." As she speaks, she jumps into the box.

A proud, self-loving girl from a higher dimension loses herself in the low-dimensional world's "love"... Or perhaps she awakens.

We cannot deny it:

"Love gives us the courage to move forward without hesitation."

"What connects the universe, besides gravity, is love." (The idea of gravity is borrowed from Interstellar.)

I admit my foolish brain can't handle explanations of ten dimensions. I really struggle to understand eight dimensions, so I'm only using the idea that the eighth dimension allows "universe travel." Don't expect too much from the rest. I've been pondering it all afternoon and I'm still confused. So sci-fi purists, proceed with caution.
