Another childhood-sweethearts story about raising a child, starting when they're toddlers.
The Yu couple adopt a three-year-old boy, Yu Shiye.
The little one is adorable, with a sweet face and grape-like eyes that love to gaze at people. When he smiles, two little buck teeth show. He's bright and lively.
While delighted, the Yu couple are also worried about their nephew Qin Yun'an, who recently suffered a family tragedy. He's quiet and withdrawn, and seems to have violent tendencies.
One night, the sound of porcelain breaking in the kitchen wakes the Yu couple. They rush downstairs and find Yu Shiye staring at the broken pieces and a carrot, looking pitiful and teary-eyed.
Meanwhile, Qin Yun'an, the dangerous child who refuses to communicate with anyone, is awkwardly holding the little one protectively in his arms. In an unpracticed, gentle voice, he says, "There, there. Don't cry."

Hugging a pillow bigger than himself, Yu Shiye peeks his little head through the crack in the door. He gazes at Qin Yun'an sweetly, his eyes full of stars. "Big Brother, I'm here to sleep with you!"
That night, Qin Yun'an enjoys a full night's sleep for the first time in ages.

Qin Yun'an is famous in their circle for being cold and uninterested in romance, treating everyone with equal frostiness.
Later, a friend accidentally learns that Qin Yun'an has a childhood sweetheart. When he calls her, Qin Yun'an's voice is gentler and more considerate than anyone has ever heard.
The news causes an uproar. Everyone eagerly awaits the childhood sweetheart, imagining she must be a stunning beauty to have Qin Yun'an wrapped around her finger.
Until, at one gathering, the childhood sweetheart arrives late.
Qin Yun'an blocks the person's path in a dim alley outside the bar and kisses them without hesitation. As their temples brush together, desire clouds the eyes of the usually clear-headed, restrained Qin Yun'an.
