After Le Yan rejected the advances of Immortal Lord Qihua, she was plagued by bad luck.
It was only when she died, struck by heavenly lightning as she was ascending to Immortal Emperor, that Le Yan learned she was nothing but a cannon-fodder female side character in a romance between immortals.
As the male lead's first love, she had to die for the innocent heroine to feel secure.
That meant she could only become a sacrifice in the romance between the male and female leads.
Le Yan was furious. Le Yan was baffled.
As an immortal, she had a duty to protect all living beings. How could anyone spend all day caught up in romantic entanglements?
