After washing her hands of her old life, Emma came to Bludhaven. She opened a flower shop, started dating a sweet, agreeable young police officer named Dick Grayson, and enjoyed a happy life.
...But she wasn't entirely happy. She always felt as if she'd lost something.
Then one day, the young officer complained with an exasperated yet indulgent expression about his three troublesome younger brothers, joking that his sister was much easier to deal with
Emma interrupted him without thinking. “...Not necessarily. My sister never let me have a moment's peace.”
Wait, sister?
Emma froze.
Dick looked at her in confusion, too. “...You have a sister?”
No.
Emma shook her head.
...Even without her memories of the past, she knew she had no family by her side.
Emma realized she was becoming more and more unlike herself.
At night, she began to suffer from inexplicable nightmares. Unknown whispers crowded her mind, and even during the day, she saw bizarre hallucinations.
"Big sister."
...Finally, one night, as Emma gazed at herself in the mirror
She saw the mirror shatter. Then a little girl slowly emerged from it and embraced her.
Emma decided to find her sister, no matter the cost.
It began with love at first sight, and Dick found himself with a beautiful, gentle new girlfriend.
Worried that his vigilante life might put his lover in danger, Dick became even more careful, hoping to protect her.
...But he discovered that Emma, who seemed so ordinary, was acting stranger and stranger, and that increasingly bizarre creatures were appearing around her.
A triangular-headed figure wielding a giant pair of scissors.
Twisted, mindless fungal beasts.
A strange, emaciated faceless monster sitting in a wheelchair and laughing.
Then one night, Dick was jolted awake by a cold sensation against his neck. When he opened his eyes, he saw his girlfriend holding a knife to his throat.
“Stay away from my big sister.” She tilted her head.
