This is an entry from my diary, recording memories of the one I love most.
Legend says that a mermaid living in the deep sea fell in love with a kind human girl. For love, he willingly came ashore and traded his immortality for a potion that would turn him human. He was willing to do anything, even if all he could do was protect her.
When I first heard this story, I thought it was simply his one-sided love for that girl. Only later did I learn that I was one of the protagonists in this story, too.
He needed the heart of the princess of Philos to save Lemuria. He needed me to willingly offer up the Sea God's Heart... He needed to take my heart with his own hands.
But he couldn't do it.
He was even willing to dissolve into sea foam rather than hurt me in the slightest.
Qi Yu, I once made you a promise. I would never make you wait for me again.
