Cultivator Tang Yu fails his tribulation and is transported to an interstellar world, where he ends up surviving by scavenging on a remote, barren planet. One day, he finds a half-dead man in a rubbish heap. The man's face is so beautiful he seems otherworldly, but he's as disheveled as a filthy stray dog.

The stray dog has lost his memory and can't even remember his own name. He refuses to leave, so Tang Yu reluctantly takes him in, figuring it will be nice to have some company in this unfamiliar world.

The stray dog is a mess, but he carries himself like royalty, looking down at everyone as if they were dogs. Tang Yu can't stand it, so he begins his daily dog-training routine.

The stray dog lies around the house every day, refusing to go scavenging. Tang Yu pats his head and says gently, "If you don't want to scavenge, that's fine. Starting today, you don't get to eat."

After going hungry for a whole day, the stray dog obediently gives in.

After that, Tang Yu sends the stray dog mining and makes him fight in the ring, turning a proud dog into an ox with no temper at all.

Tang Yu enters the stray dog in the competition, pats his head, and "encourages" him. "Do your best. Don't come back if you don't make the top hundred."

He smacks the dog on the head and scolds him. "Don't make empty boasts!"

The stray dog presses his lips together and says nothing.
