[Reunion After Years Apart] [Secret Crush Comes True] [Second Chance at Love] The new novel, Starfall in the Wilderness, is complete. The next one, Love at the Crossroads, is coming soon. Please add it to your reading list!
Yu Xin has a knot in her heart she can't untie.
In high school, she fell for Cheng Yi, the classmate who joined her class midway through the year.
Cheng Yi was confident and passionate, warm and sincere. He was the little sun that brightened her high school days.
Unfortunately, after he flatly told her he wasn't interested, her budding feelings quickly withered away.
Yu Xin decided to focus on her studies and treat him only as a good friend.
But their friendship lasted only until the day before the college entrance exam.
Cheng Yi had a secret in his heart.
Before the senior-year academic proficiency exam, his homeroom teacher called him in and asked if he was dating Yu Xin.
At first, he denied it without hesitation.
But after his teacher tried to pressure and persuade him, he blurted out fearlessly, "I'm the one who likes her. It's one-sided."
But he tossed his unrequited love, along with the worksheet covered in plans for a graduation trip, into the trash with his own hands.
He thought he'd never again deserve to stand by her side.
In her first year as a teacher, Yu Xin lived the life of an office drone, leaving early and coming home late every day. One day after school, rushing back to work overtime, she had the misfortune of getting rear-ended.
As cold rain and wind swept around her, she anxiously waited for the traffic police to arrive. Instead, she got someone she hadn't seen in seven years: Cheng Yi.
The traffic officer accompanying him gossiped about their relationship.
Cheng Yi replied coolly, "Classmates."
Yu Xin felt dejected, thinking this would be their only encounter. But once the accident had been dealt with, Cheng Yi climbed into the driver's seat of her car as if he knew it by heart.
"I'll drive," he said, as though they hadn't been out of touch for seven years.
What Yu Xin didn't know was that a net of love, woven by a man named Cheng Yi, was quietly waiting to draw her in, one step at a time.
Bonus scenes:
*
At the start of the semester, Yu Xin led her students to the auditorium for the first lesson on school safety.
At the end of the presentation, Cheng Yi stood onstage and issued a challenge: "Teacher Yu, dare to come up and join the students for a quiz game?"
Yu Xin: ...
After the game, Cheng Yi asked her carefully, "You weren't mad about what I did earlier, were you?"
Yu Xin: What do you think?
Cheng Yi laughed to himself. She was taking notes so seriously down there, he couldn't resist teasing her.
*
One evening soon after they became a couple, Cheng Yi glanced at Yu Xin's WeChat contacts.
He asked in utter disappointment, "Baby, you haven't pinned me to the top?"
Yu Xin was confused. "Pinned what?"
Cheng Yi asked to borrow her phone to demonstrate. After a few taps, he grew aggrieved again.
He complained, "Some people won't even change the name they've saved me under!"
Yu Xin asked curiously, "What name did you save me under?"
Cheng Yi took out his phone and proudly held it up in front of his girlfriend.
Baby Sweetheart?!
A warm, slice-of-life romance about a #male lead with low self-esteem trying to win the heroine back with love, gently warming her up like a frog in a pot# and #a public-sector office drone squeezing in a little romance after work to shake off the workday blues#.
[A fatherly, master-planner traffic cop x a perceptive teacher who devotes herself to her career]
[Because I love you, I found the courage to come close to you again.]
Please note: This was the first novel I wrote on a whim. The writing is immature and has many flaws. It's a slow-burn, sweet romance. If it sounds interesting, feel free to give it a try. No need to tell me if you drop it, and please don't offer writing advice. Thank you!
Theme: Dreams shine bright, and true feelings bloom.
Thanks to the limited-edition [Sahua] yesterday, I watched it intermittently before finishing it today, so I ordered it all. It is a plain and happy article, which makes people feel at ease. The progress in the early stage was relatively slow. As I chewed the steamed buns, the salivary amylase began to work, and the sweetness spread. The young couple should stay happy forever! Come on, madam, I look forward to the follow-up works 💪
Wow, Officer Cheng is so great! I even went out of my way to ask for the recipe.
Does the author know/date a real traffic policeman? Hahahaha, it's so real 😏
Oi endowment system, is the background Zhejiang?
Ding~Business fluid blessing update is stress-free!
The author greatly prays for Qin Haoyu, Hu Yueran's extra story and Teacher Yu's married life???
It's plain happiness~
Is it from Huzhou? The three bridges are not the Shuanglin Three Bridges. 💪
If someone goes missing, call the traffic police???
Sprinkle flowers, big. Goodbye!
