He Xi's face flushed red and her expression twisted. She suddenly charged at the culprit, grabbed the hair at the back of their head, and yanked, all the while relentlessly demanding to know why, why.

The workers who came running after hearing the commotion were stunned by He Xi. They came to their senses and were just about to intervene when the next scene left them dumbfounded.

He Xi's screams abruptly stopped, and she froze for a moment.

Then blood spurted from all seven orifices, and she fainted.

When faced with her cheating deadbeat dad who refuses to pay child support.

He Xi took a bottle of pesticide and went to the home of her dad's mistress.

Her dad still refused to pay and kept making snide remarks. The mistress chimed in, while her half-brother watched for a laugh.

He Xi calmly took the pesticide out of her bag. "If you won't pay, believe me when I say I'll make you experience the pain of losing a loved one today."

Her dad froze for a moment, then sneered.

The mistress openly mocked her.

As the whole family waited to see what He Xi would do next, she lowered her head, twisted open the pesticide bottle, and walked over to her younger brother, who was standing to one side with his arms crossed, enjoying the show.

Her dad: ...

The mistress: ...

Her half-brother took a step back.

He Xi: ^_^

Everyone in the family compound said the He family had gone crazy. He Xi used to be gentle and kind. Now she talked back to everyone she met and cursed at anyone she saw.

The two younger ones had turned bad too. At the mention of the He family, everyone shook their heads and said the family was doomed.

Much later, as they watched the He family doing better and better,

everyone fell silent. Which step had gone wrong?
