What Time Is It?

"What time is it?"

"Ten in the morning." The girl paused, then gave him a tactful hint to leave. "It's getting late."

The handsome black-haired boy slowly sat up and wrapped his arms around her from behind. Beneath his cool, detached exterior, he sounded irritated. "I don't want to go."

The girl was quiet for a few seconds, then said, "He's almost here."

"..."

Liu Cihe furrowed his brow. "Can't I stay a little longer?"

"I don't think so..." She hesitated.

"Let him wait outside the door." The boy lowered his eyes, looking a little tired, and spoke as if it were only natural. "I haven't woken up yet."

"All right..."

Qi Xing slowly pressed her lips together, blinking her pretty eyes as if she were thinking it over. At last, she gave in, soothingly kissed his cheek, and said softly, "You're good-looking, so I'll listen to you."

The boy rested his head in the crook of her shoulder and quietly wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. His pale skin had a cool, distant quality, and his face was so beautiful it was impossible to look away. Out of sight, he curled his lips into the cruel smile of a femme fatale.

He lifted his eyelids and drawled lazily:

"I knew you loved me."

The girl smiled too, her eyes curving with casual amusement. "Yes, see how much I love you."
