Yuan Yan, a graduate of the acting department at a certain film academy, unexpectedly transmigrates to an interstellar world.
The bad news: His handsome face is gone, replaced by an utterly ordinary one.
The good news: He gets a role-playing game System. The System assigns him roles to play, and if he successfully pulls one off, he earns one of that character's abilities as a reward.
Yuan Yan takes a look at his assignments.
Task One: Play a character from an urban legend.
Task Two: Play a tragic artificial monster.
Task Three: Play the leader of a secret organization.
Task N: Play a master thief who never misses.
Yuan Yan looks at his skinny arms and legs, then studies his ordinary face in the mirror.
Good. At least it isn't asking him to play a broom! And the System will even help him with his costumes and makeup.
As an actor, it's time to give the people of this world a little taste of what his acting can do!
Later...
Yuan Yan can't help marveling at how his fanbase keeps growing.
Take the urban legend character. He has tons of mom fans! Whenever their kids throw a tantrum, they recommend Yuan Yan's character to them, and the little ones stop crying right away!
The artificial monster character, meanwhile, has a huge number of domineering CEO fans. They're absolutely crazy, always wanting to get their hands on anything connected to the character Yuan Yan plays, from its hair to the things it has used. What they want most, of course, is the character himself, played by Yuan Yan.
But Yuan Yan doesn't worry about it for long. Anyone who's read enough romance novels knows that domineering CEOs are always prone to making mistakes.
Still, the character with the biggest fanbase has to be the leader of the secret organization. His fans are all extremely rational. Street toughs tremble with excitement when they see him, but don't dare so much as look his way. When space pirates hear he's appeared, they turn right around and leave. They really understand that stars and fans need to keep their distance.
Meanwhile, Yuan Yan, playing the master thief, runs for his life to a background soundtrack of "Wee-woo, wee-woo, wee-woo." Every so often, he glances back at the crowd chasing him and can't help remarking, "These fans are way too wild. Stalker fans are no good."
Interstellar police: What the hell are you talking about?
Theme: Love the work you do.
