The Villain's Childhood Friend Makes an Entrance

Three-year-old Lin Xi transmigrates into a book and gets bound to an imperial examination System.

Though he has no idea what the imperial examinations are, it doesn't matter. The System says completing missions will save the little villain!

The little villain is Lu Chen, the Seventh Prince of Great Liang. His father has never cared for him, his mother has never loved him, and he's been bullied all his life. When he grows up, he becomes twisted, cruel, and brutal, and finally takes his own life after sinking into profound self-loathing.

Lin Xi clenches his chubby little fists and cheers himself on: Xi Xi can do it! Xi Xi is the best!

Mission One: The villain is locked in a dilapidated Cold Palace. Memorize the first page of the Thousand Character Classic to save him.

Lin Xi (enthusiastically): Okay!

Three minutes later, Lin Xi is asleep, drooling a little.

System: ???

That night, the little villain memorizes the entire Thousand Character Classic in the Cold Palace.

Mission Two: The villain has been reprimanded by the emperor and placed under house arrest. Write one sheet of calligraphy to earn a delicious meal.

Lin Xi (full of ambition): Xi Xi can do it!

Ten minutes later, Lin Xi looks at the System innocently, his little face smeared black.

System: ...Whatever. I'm a little tired, too.

And so, during his confinement, the little villain is busy reading and practicing calligraphy, with no time at all for hatred.

Mission Three...

Reborn, Lu Jin swears to protect his position as Crown Prince. He knows that his Seventh Brother may seem strong and invulnerable, but inside, he is full of wounds. All it will take is one light strike at the right moment, and he'll take his own life just as he did in his previous life.

But as Lu Jin waits, things start to go wrong. Lu Chen is becoming more cheerful by the day.

After observing him, Lu Jin concludes that the cause is the little sidekick at his brother's side.

If he gets rid of the sidekick, everything will return to its original course.

But as soon as he makes his move, he discovers that Lu Chen is even crazier in this life than he was in the last...
