I was reborn at exactly the wrong time: just after I’d gotten the General Fuguang, who had usurped the throne in my previous life, and the Commander of the Imperial Guards wrapped around my finger, on the corner tower... when
Danger! Danger! Danger!
Official synopsis: In the autumn of the third year of Xuanning, I gazed down at Chang’an Street from the corner tower of the princess’s residence.
The wind blew fiercely that day. Yellow sand swept over Yongzhou’s city walls and drove into Yandu, leaving the streets empty, the withered grass snapped, and the whole place bleak and desolate.
Then I heard the sound of hooves cutting through the howling wind. Chen Buxue, clad in silver armor and carrying a pair of bows, rode down the long street. Amid the yellow sand, she glanced upward and suddenly met my eyes.
When the fading daylight brought me face-to-face with the blazing sun, my heart and mind were thrown into disarray for the rest of my life.
Brilliant, sharp-witted female general × beautiful, audacious princess who gradually grows cleverer
P.S. This is absolutely a rebirth story. Absolutely. I just don’t think being reborn automatically means getting a golden finger. This isn’t a wish-fulfillment power fantasy; everything has to be earned through hard work. I’m also absolutely a fan of strong, beautiful characters who suffer terribly (and keep fighting to stand on their own).
Also, I’m quietly working hard on the story next door, writing every day and building up a backlog. It’s just too short to post, and I don’t want to leave it unfinished again, so I’ve decided to finish an entire arc before releasing it all in one massive update.
This is just a little short story to let everyone see how I write romance (practice version).
Theme: “An Inquiry into Whether Being Reborn Is a Reliable Way to Settle Old Scores”
Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself (^^)/
"I can't understand the complexity of her words" is a big bug for the author~ Him?
Chen Buxue, you... Are so fierce now, be careful of old scores being settled in the future (_o)
A little tenderness in the calculation (I feel sorry for Jingyun who has to leave the light on to fall asleep
So Dudu Chen, the eldest princess's guest, is too straight-faced (Bu Xue seems to be a bit fond of forced love ("))
"The palace maid who led Governor Tao to that day" gave the author a big worm~ Governor Chen?
What a strong tension. It's not easy to guess the person who knocked on the door in the past life but couldn't wake up.
Nice! Looking forward to tomorrow's update (?˙˙?)
There seems to be a contradiction between "one arrow piercing the throat" and "three arrows piercing the body, one arrow piercing the chest, two arrows piercing the chest"
