The Family Favorite? No, Just the Unluckiest One!

Wu Yan is socially anxious. What he fears most is becoming the center of attention and having people focus on him. To his misfortune, he transmigrates into the body of a fake young master who is doted on by everyone.

Being the darling of the family can hardly be called misfortune.

The problem is...

Everyone who dotes on him is so conspicuous, they'd practically announce it to the whole world, and they especially love staging dramatic confrontations in public.

He doesn't want to go to a party? They assume someone must have slighted him and insist on letting everyone know exactly how much he means to them. Wu Yan curls his toes so hard he could dig out a four-story mansion.

He doesn't like dealing with people? They decide someone must have wronged him, and lecture every passing dog that he's under their protection. Wu Yan can't sit still, and doesn't know what to do with his hands and feet.

He doesn't want people paying attention to him on social media? They decide the internet must have insulted him, and start arguing with everyone and everything to get even. Wu Yan deletes his gossip apps and shuts his heart off to love.

He's socially anxious, yet every day he's forced into one mortifying situation after another.

After countless attempts to resist, Wu Yan finds that the harder he tries, the more miserable he becomes. All his effort is for nothing. Eventually, the whole capital is buzzing with stories about him. Wherever he goes, people point and stare. The entire internet envies his good fortune, and his phone is filled with praise. At last, Wu Yan gives up resisting.

Fine, dote on me, then. Who could possibly outdo you? You're a bunch of little ancestors!
