I wrote this while going a little crazy a couple of years ago.
It had rained, and the ground was covered in water. Zhong Yang lost his footing and went down with a smack. When he tried to stand up, he slipped again, slid around on the ground, then landed perfectly on both knees and slid across the crowded street until he stopped in front of a tall, handsome man.
The crowd around them murmured as they watched Zhong Yang's smooth performance. Some even applauded, probably thinking he was putting on a talent show.
If he hadn't landed on his knees, he could have proposed with that bouquet.
Could anything be more mortifying? Zhong Yang shut his eyes, afraid to look up.
As it turned out, things could get worse.
"Could you..." After a long session of mental preparation, Zhong Yang looked up and forced a strained smile, hoping the handsome man would help him to his feet.
When Zhong Yang got a good look at the man's face, his smile froze.
Damn! He Xu?
Why was it him?!
Zhong Yang's face seemed calm, but inside, a storm was raging. His inner self couldn't stop twitching.
He Xu, an old acquaintance of Zhong Yang's, kindly hauled him off the ground. He smiled so harmlessly that he looked incapable of hurting anyone, and even asked with concern, "Are you all right?"
All right? How could he be all right?
"Thanks," Zhong Yang said, his face blank.
He looked utterly pathetic. His clothes were soaked, and his white jeans were covered in brown mud.
Compared to him, He Xu's custom-made designer suit was spotless, making the contrast all the more brutal.
That expensive suit was obviously tailored just for him.
Zhong Yang tried to pull his arm away from He Xu's grip, but couldn't. He looked at He Xu in confusion.
Their eyes met, and for a moment, the world seemed to slow down.
"What? It's only been a little while, and you've already forgotten me, big sis?" He Xu said with a smile, refusing to let go of Zhong Yang's arm.
Zhong Yang fell silent, unwilling to face reality.
The man in front of him, named He Xu, was a mistake Zhong Yang had made in his youth.
Five years ago...
Dim, suggestive light filled the room. A huge pink round bed sat inside, facing the doorway.
A woman in a pink slip dress sat languidly on the edge of the bed, her long, pale legs crossed and sliding restlessly against each other. The scene was unbearably sensual.
Theme: Unity, friendship, and helping one another.
