On the day she took over the family, she discovered that the junior disciple who loved her was the son of her family's sworn enemy.

Not a strong female lead. An old-school, emotionally driven tragic romance, full of melodrama.
The core trope is killing one's husband to prove the Dao. The heroine truly intends to kill the hero and makes several attempts. There's no misunderstanding or reversal of love and hate: she genuinely hates him so much and loves him so much. But you can't say she doesn't love him, either. She really does have feelings for him.
An old-school entanglement of love and hate, old grudges and deep, painful romance, unable to let go until death (not really). The two families have been sworn enemies for generations, routinely attacking each other. Who could have known that this generation's hero would be such an absurdly lovestruck man, an unparalleled romantic...
Senior sister and junior brother, with her younger than him. A love-hate relationship that torments them both until their hair turns white (more than once). They only make it to the end because the hero refuses to let her go. Big warning: the hero watches the heroine fall in love with other people. If melodrama isn't your thing, please don't read this.
The blurb is still being edited. They love and hate each other over several lifetimes. I'm writing this to give a home to all the clichéd tragic-romance plotlines I can't use in my other stories... I just want to indulge in all the old-school melodrama: the agonizing, tangled romance where they owe each other so much, can't let go, chase and flee, and live and die for each other...
In short, please think twice before reading if you don't enjoy this sort of thing. I think I've put up plenty of warnings. Not a strong female lead.
