The Bride in Her Stead Is Beautiful and Strong

The young master of the Duke's household is frail. The Imperial Preceptor casts a divination and says he needs a marriage to bring him good fortune. The person whose birth chart matches his is a man, supposedly a discarded son of a general's family.

Poor thing. He's going to be childless for life with him.

On their wedding night, the young master doesn't lift the bridal veil. He sits alone by the round table, pouring himself a drink. "I expect you had no choice either. I won't touch you. When I die..."

"Big brother!"

The bride beneath the gauze curtain panics and calls out in a voice as forceful as Li Kui calling to Song Jiang.

The young master trembles, then watches as the bride lifts his own veil. He's handsome, powerfully built, and has a booming voice. "Big brother! Don't talk about dying! We're married now, so we'll grow old together!"

The man excitedly sweeps the young master into his arms, lifting his feet off the ground and pressing his face against his firm, hard chest. "Huh?"

"Let's talk this out! Don't do anything rash! Hey!!"

#Calls him big brother by day, calls him big brother at night#

#Only later does the young master learn his bride isn't a discarded son at all. He's a man who pushed his way through the crowd to marry him in someone else's place#
