Shi Jiu is exceptionally handsome, top of his class, and from an upper-class family. Just after getting into a prestigious university, he dies of a terminal illness and transmigrates into a novel as a cannon-fodder male college student who grovels after a scumbag.

A groveling dog ends up failing classes, retaking courses, and graduating late.

To stop the scumbag from ruining his studies, Shi Jiu starts making things up.

"Your brother's waiting for me to study with him. Bother me again and I'll have him deal with you."

Shen Qin glances at his amber eyes and turns him down. "No."

Later, Shen Qin sees a few thugs harassing a male college student at a shooting club.

The student is tall, wearing a white shirt and black pants. His shot clips the line and scores a ten.

Without even turning his head, he scoffs, "If you can beat me, I'll do more than just keep you company. I'll even date you."

The thugs are hopelessly bad, but keep harassing him anyway.

The student turns around, his amber eyes glaring daggers at them. He's got a decent air of menace, but he's too pretty and looks far too pampered. How could he scare anyone off?

Shen Qin steps in front of him.

Standing at 190 centimeters, Shen Qin doesn't even have to say a word before the thugs scatter like frightened birds.

Shen Qin looks at his clingy underclassman and asks, "Can anyone who beats you date you?"

"No, that's not what I meant. You've got it all wrong," Shi Jiu denies three times.

Shen Qin picks up a gun and casually fires a shot, hitting the bull's-eye.

"I won. Do I get a reward?"

Shi Jiu: "What do you want?"

Shen Qin says casually, "I need a teammate. Want to help me out?"

Shi Jiu wins a few prizes with Shen Qin and uses him to fend off the scumbag. After some serious reflection, he concludes that his senior is so useful, he can't possibly keep him hidden away.

Then one day, right as Shi Jiu is making up another story, he hears a familiar cough behind him.

Shi Jiu: !
