Your Mom Asked Me to Date You [1960S]

Wang Yanru helps take care of her nephew at her older cousin's home. Her cousin pays her a salary of 10 yuan a month. Then one day, a woman who claims to be her cousin's boss finds her and says, "Date my son, and I'll pay you 50 yuan a month." Her cousin only makes 30 yuan a month. As Wang Yanru hesitates, the woman adds, "As long as you keep dating him for three months before breaking up, I'll give you 2,000 yuan as a breakup fee." "Deal! I'll do it!" Date for three months and get thousands of yuan? What a bargain! But two months later, before the three months are up, Wang Yanru goes to the woman again. "Your son wants to get married. Can we break up now? I'll take half the breakup fee." "..." Fan Mo does nothing but work. He's twenty-four and has never dated anyone, but after his parents nag and plead with him, he finally agrees to a blind date. His date is very direct and falls for him at first sight. "We can date for three months first. If it doesn't work out, we'll break up after that." Fan Mo nods. Three months of peace and quiet sounds a little short, but he can accept it. He silently hopes his date won't be disappointed in him and will extend the three months. After they spend more time together, three months no longer seems like enough. He wants to spend his whole life with her, but his date doesn't seem interested. (?︷?)
