The Ninth Sense

The Ninth Sense is the highest realm sought by practitioners. It is attained when a person has no distracting thoughts and is wholly focused, allowing their energy to flow without end. This is called the endless cycle of life.

Mo Nan was an ordinary medical examiner at the Municipal Public Security Bureau. Every day, he handled all kinds of corpses: piecing together scattered chunks of flesh, arranging the internal organs in order, and retrieving human bones from garbage heaps to assemble skeletons.

Until one day, his lover's body appeared on his autopsy table.

And he became the last person to have had contact with the deceased.

I don't want anyone to hurry me toward death

A breeze carries the scent of plants through the window

The air is filled with the sounds of ordinary days

If possible, I want to die in a place like this

Even if my nose can no longer smell that fragrance

Even if what my ears hear

Is only the sighs of people beside me

Straightforward younger police detective gong x widowed medical examiner shou on the run
