Youqi, a divine lord born from the essence of heaven and earth at the dawn of creation, sealed the Demon God Shijun with the power of the Five Gods after the war between gods and demons. His divine consciousness was damaged in the war, so he went into seclusion in the Desolate Abyss to mend it. Qi An, daughter of the divine beast Qilin, was born while Youqi was in seclusion. During her travels, Qi An accidentally wandered into the Desolate Abyss and met Youqi, who was still there in seclusion. She fell in love at first sight and could not forget him. After Qi An won first place in the Divine Realm tournament, Youqi took her as his disciple and announced that she would be his only one. The two endured a tragic romance across three lifetimes and finally came together, only for the Demon God to break free of his seal and threaten the Three Realms. In the end, Youqi took up the Houtu Divine Sword and sacrificed himself to complete the sealing formation.
