After the Most Hated One Dies, Everyone Goes Crazy for Him

Yu He has little spiritual power and an odd personality, making her the most hated person in her sect.

Bai Lian is stunningly beautiful and exceptionally gifted, the sect's favored prodigy.

But Bai Lian takes an unreasonable dislike to her, stealing the spirit herb she gives to her senior brother and the spirit sword she gives to her junior brother. No matter how many times she explains, no one believes her.

The eldest senior brother sighs. “Xiao He, stop making trouble. If you slander Bai Lian again, I won't go easy on you.”

The junior brother snaps, “Back off! Don't touch the sword Bai Lian gave me!”

Everyone sneers. “Bai Lian is targeting you? As if you're worth her time.”

Bai Lian looks down at her. “Still refusing to give up? I didn't think you'd be this delusional.”

Later, Yu He is expelled from the sect for “seriously injuring Bai Lian.” On the day she leaves, under countless watchful eyes, she crushes her golden core and returns it to Bai Lian.

Blood stains the corner of her mouth. Her voice is hoarse:

“One life for one life. From this day on, I, Yu He, have nothing more to do with the Spirit Sect.”

Covered in blood and filled with cold fury, she leaves the sect, stumbling until she dies in a winter snowfall.

They thought expelling Yu He was a way to purge the sect of corruption.

They never expected the sect to descend into chaos, or that Bai Lian would turn out to be...

From then on, the eldest senior brother retreats into seclusion and falls to demonic cultivation, his powers completely destroyed;

The junior brother runs his fingers over his broken sword, his meridians severed;

Everyone comes to their senses as if waking from a dream and searches for Yu He, but they can never find her again.

The cleverest thing Bai Lian ever did was disguise himself as a woman to seize a secret treasure and await the arrival of the demon clan's young lord.

But he never expected Yu He to discover the truth. As he watched her be misunderstood again and again, despair again and again, and finally open her own chest without hesitation, his heart felt as if it were being torn apart.

He told himself he could make it up to her after the young lord was born.

But when he crossed mountains and seas to look for her, all he found was a handful of scarlet snow.

When Yu He opens her eyes once more, she finds herself swaddled in cloth, surrounded by countless demons.

“Young Lord, you've finally been born!” they exclaim with joy. “Demon Lord Bai Lian gave everything he had to make this happen. It's just a shame that he's now... gone mad.”
