[Secret Identity] The Literary Genius Who Would Destroy the Nation

Before he could become a corporate drone, Nakagawa Tatsuto transmigrated.

His strange nature only frightens them. When a cunningly smiling army doctor invites him to leave, the people who fear him now include soldiers with supernatural abilities.

That dark red-eyed doctor, who is also his teacher, looks at him with admiration and always tells him:

As time passes, the island of Tokoyo grows ever more like a living hell. The people who once avoided him as if he were a tiger come to him of their own accord, begging for the peace of never opening their eyes again.

They weep with gratitude. In contrast to the “Angel of Death,” they call him the “Demon of Mercy.”

A girl with white scars on her face gently comforts the green-eyed boy resting on her lap as he childishly complains about how difficult his work is.

The girl, every inch the traditional Japanese maiden, speaks softly:

“You've worked hard today. Please get some good rest.”

It's a heartwarming scene, but when you remember they've known each other for only an hour, their intimacy feels deeply strange.

A scruffy man with messy, brittle-looking golden-brown hair and the face of someone who could pass for forty says, “I'm only twenty-six, you know? I'm in the prime of my youth, just like that kid Oda!”

The young man beside him, fiddling with soapy dishwater, mercilessly retorts, “Come on. Even with Oda-saku's face, you can't exactly call him ‘in the prime of his youth,’ can you?”

To retrieve the secret identities, Nakagawa Tatsuto goes in person. He casually makes up a “Black Death Kingdom” and calls himself the “King,” specializing in doorstep pickup.

Most of it goes smoothly and pleasantly. There are a few bumps along the way, but nothing serious.

“So... You wanted the Book for this moment, didn't you?” The young man, no longer wearing his black trench coat or bandages over his eyes, smiles at the “King,” but keeps his hand clenched inside his coat pocket. “You've already ‘eaten’ them, haven't you?”

The people who knew the secret identities glare at him.

Nakagawa Tatsuto: I really love one saying.

Nakagawa Tatsuto: Huh?
