In the year 2070 of the Western calendar, the world entered the Wasteland Era.
Though disasters ravaged the globe, one place was still considered suitable for living creatures. People called it "Shennongjia."
Luo Si'ang, ID C998, is assigned to the Central Logistics Department.
C stands for "driver," meaning spatial powers, delivery duties, and combat skills that are dogshit.
During a migration mission, Luo Si'ang lost his teammates and found himself in grave danger. To complete the inspection and installation of thirty-four energy stones, the organization temporarily sent an operative to reinforce him.
According to the organization's briefing, his new teammate was taciturn, hardworking, dependable, friendly, mysterious, and powerful.
But at the snowbound mountain pass in the Liao region, Luo Si'ang found a woman in a straw rain cape and bamboo hat, skillfully dismembering and shelling some kind of creature. Pots, bowls, and pans clanged all over her.
When he tried to step forward and help, she said just two words:
"Stay back."
It was a journey destined to be long and troublesome.
On the Gobi Desert in the Long region, she boiled water and kneaded dough using alkaline stones.
In the Sichuan basin, shredded beef jerky was fried until spicy and fragrant.
Beside the tidal flats in the Zhejiang region, mud snails cured in aged yellow wine were plump and succulent, a local favorite known as the "rice-wrecker."
Luo Si'ang had thought he was just a "driver," responsible for driving, hauling, and complaining, and that his only reward on this mission would be all the delicious food he got to mooch along the way. Then, by chance, he saw Cang Lin Shi's file in the archives.

S stands for "Keeper of the Archives," responsible for recording and preserving humanity's cultural heritage. The number indicates the order in which members joined.
