[Wasn’t I supposed to stop writing Detective Conan stories?]
[There’s no outline yet either, so here’s a blurb]
Here’s the thing: I retired. I quit. I applied to headquarters to take a semi-retired background-character System with me, then randomly picked a world to settle down in.
The original agreement was that, in this world, I’d play roles including but not limited to: a passerby evacuated when the Black Organization sets off explosives, a background character who provides clues at a murder scene, or a face in the crowd at a banquet. You know, the kind of character who only gets half a panel in the manga.
I was doing a great job. With my presence rating under ten, I kept a low profile and felt completely at ease.
Who knew that, while I was living quietly, the Main System would launch a crossover live-streaming forum event to attract viewers? My presence and screen time shot up, and at some point my blank character profile even got filled in automatically. But the problem is, I only have one skill equipped: catching blades barehanded with a one-hundred-percent success rate!
Meanwhile, a suspicious blond man with tan skin started hanging around me. I’m not imagining it. He really is winking at me. I don’t think he’s a good person, but the forum says he’s insanely popular.
System: There’s nothing we can do. Look at that pink heart meter. Why don’t you try the heroine route?
Me: No, I can still fight this...
Later...
Me and the System: Wait, he really isn’t a good person????
* This world follows the Black Zero route.
* Actually, it’s a story about Zero constantly wanting to be locked up in a room and played with, while the heroine never gives him the chance.
Premise: To be or not to be, that is the question
