[Blurb]

National Preceptor Xiao Pin has many regrets in her life.

Her father died and her mother passed away, both hastily buried in the borderlands.

Her only older brother was held hostage in the imperial palace, and she never saw him again.

Born a princess of the imperial clan and a noble commandery princess, she was harmed by a scheming woman who meddled in politics and reduced to a cripple.

She had stopped caring about affairs of state long ago. In the autumn of the third year of Yongyan, she heard that a general from the south had come to the capital to report on his duties. The gravely ill National Preceptor suddenly sent word to the army, asking them to find someone.

"I thought you liked me."

"I'm well. Don't worry about me."
