Ye Jiang had spent most of his life worn down by illness. With his last breath hanging by a thread, he thought: I don't want to die yet.

After he died, he bound himself to a System and transmigrated. Ye Jiang felt that this was a gift from heaven. He had just decided to make a name for himself when he discovered...

But gradually, things began to feel wrong.

What kind of good friend is this clingy, following you everywhere and sending you a letter every day even when you're hundreds of miles apart?

What kind of good brother takes an interest in your type and openly and discreetly studies it, then shows you what he's learned?

What kind of good buddy insists on finding you for a hug both before and after going to the battlefield?

Although Ye Jiang didn't really believe it himself, he still explained to the others: We're really just brothers!

Ye Jiang was quite curious about why his task was to fulfill Chang Ye's wish, but the System's answer was vague.

Aside from letting him buy items, the System was completely useless. Oh, there was also a System controller dedicated to keeping him company. That one was even more underhanded. A little scene:

At some point, Chang Ye had grown more than half a head taller than Ye Jiang. His eyes were fixed on Ye Jiang without blinking. He had just returned from the battlefield, and he hadn't yet had time to take off his armor. There were traces of blood still on his face, but he didn't look frightening.

He heard Chang Ye say, "Brother Ye, you knew how I felt all along. You used to avoid me, so why don't you anymore?"

He leaned closer to Chang Ye and asked with a smile, "What do you think?"
