God of War

A successful general is built on a mountain of corpses.

The story of a common-born youth who struggles his way through the currents of a chaotic age and eventually becomes a god of war.

Wanqi Sheng comes from humble origins. A poor, scrappy boy who loves to study and is quick-witted, he builds himself up from nothing. Unfortunately, he is born at the wrong time and is caught in a war, leaving him no choice but to enlist.

The love interest is his childhood friend. He fled to the village as a child and lived next door to Wanqi Sheng. Wanqi Sheng fell in love at first sight and never looked at anyone else, determined to marry him.

"When I was young, I longed for the splendor of the capital. All I wanted was to earn merit and make a name for myself, fighting my way through the ranks so I could trample everyone who looked down on me beneath my feet."

"But now, I want to trade my life for a peaceful and prosperous age for you."

A calculating Demon King of a war god top x an innocent, cool beauty bottom

*High-energy, power progression, wish fulfillment. Still a classic overpowered protagonist story, with a happy ending.
