That person and I are bound by a bit of ill-fated destiny.

During those years I spent smithing in Tatarasuna, I was an apprentice swordsmith, and he was a Wanderer as pure as a blank sheet of paper.

I once saw him dance with a sword beneath the moon. I also once carried him away beneath a blazing light, when he was about to be sent to his death, and quietly pleaded:

"Let's run away."

But perhaps the doll's beautiful, pure eyes, like glazed glass, saw my fear and unease. He refused me.

When we met again, I was a shrine maiden at the Grand Narukami Shrine.

After the Raiden Gokaden incident, I followed the clues to find the mastermind. The young Harbinger from Snezhnaya had the familiar face of someone from my past.

He and I fought three hundred rounds on Narukami Island. In the end, neither of us could take the other down, so we were forced to make peace.

He invited me to go with him, and I got my revenge for being rejected all those years ago.

Much later, after who knows how many years, the Grand Narukami Shrine threw me out for my glorious record of fistfighting the Raiden Shogun.

Meanwhile, my old friend ascended to godhood in Sumeru, then failed in record time.

The whole world forgot him.

After traveling all the way to Sumeru, I was chatting with a new friend at a barbecue stall. "You might not know this, but I have a friend who almost became a god in Sumeru."

The acting Grand Sage of the Akademiya looked thoughtful.

"Was your friend named Azar?"

"No. He's the Raiden Shogun's--"

Before I could say that forbidden word, the familiar-looking young man walked by. He heard me, stopped, and turned to look.

How should I greet him?
