At sixteen, Chi Yang left the orphanage with his childhood friend, Lu Qingze.
At nineteen, Chi Yang fell to his death.
When he woke again, he found himself in an unfamiliar house.
Not standing, but floating.
Candlelight flickered. In its faint glow, Chi Yang saw a black-and-white portrait on the mahogany table.
It was of himself.
In front of the portrait were several sticks of incense trailing pale smoke, a whole box of gemstones, a black-and-gold car key with a horse engraved on it, and a stack of property deeds...
Someone was making offerings to him.
Chi Yang froze.
Behind him, footsteps suddenly sounded and drew nearer. A pair of hands settled on his waist from behind.
A weight pressed on his shoulder, and warm breath brushed his neck, bringing warmth to his cold skin.
Chi Yang jumped.
He couldn't break free!
"Who... are you?"
"Lu Qingze."
What were you supposed to do after becoming a ghost?
Chi Yang had no idea.
In a daze, he was taken back to a mansion and listened as his childhood friend told him about the years that had passed.
Ten years had gone by.
The thin, poor boy from back then had become the famous CEO of a major corporation in A City.
His net worth was a hundred billion dollars.
Chi Yang looked at him.
It was still the same face, but his deep, sharp brows had softened and relaxed.
The dark eyes that had seemed so cold in his memories now curved gently, their warmth clearly reflecting Chi Yang's image.
He blinked and tilted his head.
"So... you really want to take care of me?"
Lu Qingze settled him on his lap and pinched the nape of his slender, cold neck.
His palm nearly covered the entire area.
"Of course."
"Aren't you afraid of me? I'm a ghost now."
"No."
The man looked at him, the faintest smile still tugging at his lips.
He took Chi Yang's hand and pressed his forehead against its cold, pale fingers, the chilly emotions in his eyes disappearing in an instant.
His gentle voice was intoxicating.
"You're my little Chi."
The person I finally got back, by any means necessary.
Extra Scene:
After being dragged into the bath to bathe together yet again, Chi Yang decided he couldn't keep giving in.
So he planted a foot on the man's bare, muscular chest.
"Lu Qingze! Don't push it!"
The man lounged against the bathtub and glanced down, raising his sharp brows.
A few seconds later,
he grabbed Chi Yang by the ankle and pulled him into the water.
The splashing water and their bodies pressed together without a gap made the moment charged with intimacy. His gentle voice took on a dangerous edge.
"Little Chi, be good."
