As a game designer and victim of the 996 work culture, Bian Yue transmigrates into the mecha world he created.
The good news: He's on Blue Abyss Star, a familiar location. He remembers the map. It's an open-book test!
The bad news: Blue Abyss Star is a doomed planet slated to be abandoned in five years.
He made the game himself, and his coworkers wrote the story. It's a pretty good planet, with a little heart.
Bian Yue: No big deal. It can still be saved.
"Sharp-tongued, play-crazy, reckless top X A death-seeking bottom who seems cold but is warm at heart"
Xie Yu yearns for death.
Since birth, the boy has been like a weed, trampled, despised, and ignored. No one loves him, and no one hates him.
He doesn't want to live.
Yet at the crossroads of life and death, someone casually drags him back, with a cocky tone to boot.
"Don't die just yet. Your savior is here."
Every officially registered mecha pilot is bound to their own healer through a life-link.
The link transfers injuries one way, once a day.
Bian Yue, an E-rank pilot, is shunned by healers and dismissed by everyone as a useless rookie.
Xie Yu, with zero mental power, is a gloomy, sensitive little nobody no one wants, a fragile healer looked down on by pilots.
One day, word gets out that the two of them have formed a life-link.
Everyone: Just a pair of useless losers.
Until...
The monsters on the ice fields go berserk. A beast tide surges across the land like a thousand armies crossing a river, and the frenzied beasts begin surrounding them, their eyes bloodshot. It looks like no one will make it out alive.
Everyone: We're done for! Run!
Bian Yue: Don't panic. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. The Calabash Brothers saving Grandpa, one at a time. What's there to run for?
They watch as the silver-white mecha cleaves the monsters apart from top to bottom, spraying blood everywhere.
Everyone: ...
What do you mean, useless E-rank? He's a total powerhouse! Xie Yu sure knows how to pick them!
I'm a fairly reliable author, so read without worry.
{Reader's Guide}
1. The top is the focus (emphasis). Very indulgent, very satisfying, a total heartthrob (?).
2. The world is entirely fictional. The firearms aren't realistic, so don't read too much into them.
3. The mechas aren't Gundams. They're much smaller, just big enough that you have to duck to get inside.
4. There aren't many competitions. They're only included when the plot needs them, so this isn't a sports story.
5. Unless something unexpected happens, this will be an ensemble cast story. If my writing skills fall short, it'll just be a wish-fulfillment heartthrob story. Please bear with me.
Energy running low, the snowfield bitterly cold and barren, the situation thrown into chaos by invading monsters?
Bian Yue downs a whole bottle of nutrient solution: That's it?
Theme: Learn to love yourself. I can be my own salvation.
Take great care of your health QAQ
If you don't want to be more careful, can you send me a request for leave? I've been sick for so long and I really hope that I can recover soon, but I've been missing for almost two months and I'm a little bit embarrassed.
Damn, you're so annoying, you've opened a trap to catch people, and you've lost your appetite. TAT
Ah? Why did you suddenly take in a younger brother?
It's so interesting, but it's a pity it's only three chapters
