While they're tackling the stage, the Boss goes berserk, transforming into a fanged demon eighteen stories tall. It blows black mist at the players, devouring their happiness.

The players grow more and more listless, wishing they were dead.

Xie Jiu doesn't care. He walks into the dense black mist, grabs the Boss by the collar as if it were a doll, and takes out the central control system to shrink the demon.

With a thump, the demon lands in a chair, facing Xie Jiu.

Xie Jiu speaks as if soothing a child: "Good. Sit still and behave."

"It's time for an interrogation."

[The Resort That Eats People]

Xie Jiu is an utterly ordinary beautician. His task: give the resort's NPCs makeovers.

But the Boss is a water ghost. When it spots a player, it grabs them by the ankle and drags them underwater to drown.

Xie Jiu can't swim and chokes on a few mouthfuls of water.

He's angry.

He takes out the central control system and sets the lake's water level to zero.

The water ghost lands with a thump on its backside at the bottom of the dried-up lake, its face pale and its skin bloated.

Xie Jiu slaps the Boss on the head. "Are you going to behave now?"

Then he slaps it again. "Still trying to kill me?"

The Boss is stunned.

After venting his anger, Xie Jiu grabs its wet hair and snips it with a pair of scissors.

"Hold still, or your haircut will come out crooked."

But gradually, Xie Jiu realizes that something isn't quite right.

[The Prison That Loses a Cell Every Day]

Xie Jiu is an utterly ordinary criminal. His task: serve his sentence properly (crossed out), escape from prison.

He has just picked the lock on his cell when the handsome prison warden appears out of nowhere. A dark, cold wind sweeps through the gloomy cell. Countless things writhe behind the warden, and tentacles silently coil around Xie Jiu...

One tentacle slides over his arm, then taps it a few times, just like the way his lover touched him that day.

Xie Jiu's head spins. He opens the central control system and adjusts the tentacles to the thickness of an arm.

He smiles. "Hold me tighter."

The prison warden's mouth twitches. As if disgusted with him, the tentacles scatter in a frenzy.

Xie Jiu: "..."

Later, three powerful, suspiciously familiar Bosses start visiting each other across stages and causing trouble for Xie Jiu:

The tentacled prison warden Boss binds him tightly from head to toe, leaving him unable to move. Yet the voice from its mouth is gentle: "Didn't you say last time that you liked me tying you up like this...?"

The icy Boss lifts Xie Jiu's chin. Where its skin touches him, it turns wet. Its voice shifts between cold and hot: "You said you wanted to watch me melt for you..."

The Ghost King Boss floods the entire space with its sinister aura, forcefully lifting Xie Jiu off the ground and arranging him in an indecent pose. It brings its face close to his: "This time, don't run away."

Wait, who are you people?!

Why do you all have the same face?

Could it be... you?

Hey!!

Stop fighting!!

All three turn to look at him.

Each one's eyes reveal a naked, nearly crazed desire to possess him alone.

Xie Jiu swallows: Maybe you should just keep fighting.

Hey, don't come over here!

Let me figure out how to send you back to your own stages!
