“The mountain has trees, and the trees have branches. I love you, but you don't know.” Would you believe the moon's sweet nothings?
Song Yuejun thinks she's so broke she's seeing things. She was just working overtime on Ghost Festival, feeling the bitterness of a wage slave and swearing some made-up oath to the moon, when she was loaded into a horror game as a hired NPC. Song Yuejun: “??!” Who do you think you're looking down on? To hell with being an NPC! You force me into the game and won't even give me a player's identity? You piece of junk system. System: ...I hired this damn dog of an employee myself. Even if I have to cry, I can't fire her.
[Top who has temporarily vanished and has almost no screen time × resentful, broke, rebellious wage-slave bottom, also known as The System's Damn Boss and Its Personally Hired Dog Employee and A Wage Slave Having the Time of Her Life as a Ghost NPC in a Horror Game]
----Some rambling (useful for understanding the whole book; feel free to skip my unhinged thoughts)----
A quick summary of my writing process: There isn't one. I write whatever comes to mind. Just bear with me. This is the result of squeezing in writing whenever I can, whether I have anything to do or not.
In one sentence: High energy throughout, little romance, with the story as the main focus. The protagonist often uses deduction or hypothetical reverse reasoning. They rarely make solid judgments by following a chain of clues step by step. In simple terms, it's mostly deduction and guessing.
Content warning: I'm shallow and like writing highly intelligent characters. If your first impression is that someone isn't very smart, or I write them as an idiot, they're probably about to be killed off. (Another possibility is that they're pretending, but I can't write them smart enough to keep up the act.) I love plot twists. The contrast between night and day is so compelling that it really draws me in.
The top is sticking to his mute character setting. The top and bottom are partners in their careers (I mean, sort of?). At least, this book won't have any of the stuff you want to see. It's very clean.
This is something I write in my spare time. The logic may not be great, so use your own judgment to make sense of some of the plot holes. I won't explain them (and don't plan to go back and check everything from the beginning. I'll stay lazy to the very end). The clues in the game arcs aren't strongly connected, and the story mostly relies on the protagonist's imagination, like a golden finger: whatever they guess is always right. (Most of the time they're right, but sometimes they're so wildly wrong that it leads to the next thing I want to say.)
I'm a rather dark and twisted person (take that with a grain of salt; I'm not serious). I've long since given up on being a good person. I can't stand seeing people happy, so after I let them build a deep bond, I'll take out their partner for entertainment.
As I said, this story is mostly imagination. I'll explain certain conceptual details in the author's notes after chapters. Think things through for yourselves. Don't make a nuisance of yourselves.
Please bear with my politics. I'm terrible at it. I'm trying hard to write a book with sound values and principles and to portray a normal person, so just take it as it is. Things may not be as beautiful as you imagine. The story is mainly based on the lives of ordinary people and may exaggerate. In terms of its message, it mainly reflects the darker side of society, where the law can't reach.
This is an alternate-universe work of fiction, so don't apply today's logic to it. It's mainly about beauty and romance, and the story takes place in 2032.
[Everyone in this book is an adult!!! There are no underage romances!!!]
Theme: Reality and illusion
I have a lot of free time today, so I will update the text φ(..) As the occasion arises?
Who is not a worker? ( It's almost 2024, be happy next year (*??????*)
