() Sorry that the title doesn't match the story. I'm bad at naming things, so I just came up with it on a whim. It's actually a bait title, and the Organization barely features.
Story introduction:
(The timeline is after Amuro Tooru visits the Kudo residence and reveals Akai Shuichi's identity.)
As a member of Public Security's Zero Division, Hoshino Kiyose is brought in front of her superior by a certain elementary school student as soon as she returns to Japan.
She watches her boss tell her what to order and feels dazed, as though her vacation has ended before it's even begun.
But that's okay.
She's brave enough to talk about her boss right in front of him. After all, the team leader approved her leave, and even if he is Mr. Furuya, he can't go back on his word.
So she chooses to...
[Azusa: "Is Ms. Hoshino new here? She looks exhausted, like she's got a lot of work to do."
"Sigh." Hoshino Kiyose: "I quit my previous job because it was too demanding. I've spent the last few days handing everything over, and I'm finally done. I'm planning to take a few days to relax before looking for another job."
"You were still so busy even after you'd decided to quit? Was your boss exploiting you?"
"Huh? I think my boss is pretty nice. He doesn't come to the office much, and just assigns tasks and makes requests remotely... Most of the company is run by his assistant and some relatives parachuted in from above... But he's a good boss!"
"I quit because I couldn't keep up with the workload. It's my fault."

The only couples are the canon pairings. There are no original romance plots, only friendships.
I'm terrible at writing mysteries and just want to tell a story, so all the case details are skipped.
Apologies for the out-of-character moments. I only wrote this because I had an idea I wanted to explore (keep reading). If it causes any problems, I'll delete the story.
Thank you for reading.
Note: This is a fix-it story that doesn't need fixing.
I've read so many stories, and I keep wondering: if there really are countless worlds and countless possibilities, might there be a world where nobody needs anyone else's help, where the tiniest change is enough for the people in that world to save themselves?
For example, Hagiwara could have finished defusing the bomb at the very last moment, and then everything afterward would have been different.
After Matsuda gets on that Ferris wheel, he could put everything he has into finding the bomber.
Takagi could also grab Date Wataru at that intersection.
They can put an end to their own regrets.
If I really can create a world without regrets,
if such a world can be born from my hands,
then why can't this world be a little better?
I'm not thinking about the Organization or power levels. I just want one world, just one, where nobody is left with regrets.
The protagonist of this story is pure red. There is an undercover plot, but she doesn't infiltrate the Black Organization (important: it's a different organization).
A world where everyone achieves self-redemption shouldn't have an outsider inserted into it. But this is my personal wish: I think Zero has had it too hard, so I hope someone can help him.
But as I kept writing, the protagonist became more and more fleshed out, and I grew to like her more and more. Before I knew it, I'd written 40,000 words.
Still, the protagonist doesn't take part in fixing things. The only thing she really saves is a bottle of liquor in the story (not really).
Also, the only original character who appears in the main story is the heroine. A name or two mentioned in passing doesn't count.
The aliases of the survivors contain one character from their real names.
This story only has canon pairings, with no original romance plot.
Note: I'm so sorry for all the typos and the bad experience they caused!
I also want to apologize to the two characters whose names I keep getting wrong!
There are some places I reread several times without noticing the mistakes. Please point them out if you spot any, and I'll definitely fix them once I see them. (bows)
