The Passerby in a '90s Novel About a Doting Older Brother

Tang Shu Lan was a minor character in a doting-sister story. Her daily routine was to appear from the top of someone's head and watch the two wealthy merchant brothers take turns buying everything in the department store for the young protagonist.

After an accident, the young protagonist suddenly began to idolize Tang Shu Lan.

Pointing at Tang Shu Lan, the child told the two brothers, "The salesclerk auntie can make anything appear! Brother, marry the salesclerk auntie, and then I'll have everything too!"

As an exemplary minor character, Tang Shu Lan kept in mind the first rule of being one: whenever something happened, she had to be there watching.

As Tang Shu Lan watched the two wealthy merchant brothers brawl, the young protagonist came trotting over again.

"Make way, make way." The child excitedly introduced someone: "This is my uncle. Salesclerk auntie, marry my uncle!"

Tang Shu Lan turned around and met the eyes of the great villain from the book, who was being led by the young protagonist and looked utterly world-weary.
