Everyone in Shangshan Palace knows that Xie Xifeng, the senior disciple of Moonwhite Peak, is warmhearted and often goes out of her way to help others. Anyone who calls her Senior Sister gets whatever help they ask for, whether they're a junior sister from her own sect or even a passing female demon. But... no one has ever seen her smile. Ever since she began cultivating, she has been as cold as ice, never showing her joy or anger. People privately say she may be cultivating the Emotionless Dao.
2.
Xie Xifeng is miserable. She transmigrated for no apparent reason, and the System tells her that the world she's in is a no-romance novel with a strong female lead. The plot is still loading, so she should lie low for now. Also, to get on the female lead's good side, she should build relationships with all the female cultivators and become their best friend.
But! Her cheat ability is called "The Unsmiling Sword God"!
That's right: as long as you don't smile, stay cold, and remain heartless, you can become invincible with a sword.
3.
Nobody knows that Xie Xifeng's icy demeanor is an act. Every year, on the night of the full moon, "The Unsmling Sword God" undergoes its annual maintenance. The cold senior sister shuts herself away in the back hills, secretly acting like her true self, then sneaks off to dual cultivate with a little blind snake demon in a clear pool in the hills.
Until...
The sects join forces to explore a secret realm, and Xie Xifeng leads her junior sisters from Shangshan Palace there. They encounter Xue Fuyin, the senior sister leading the group from Yunmeng Hall. Since both sects belong to the righteous path, the two groups decide to work together.
But the information about the secret realm is wrong. Xie Xifeng is badly injured and separated from her junior sisters. Then the full moon rises, and she and Xue Fuyin both fall into a valley. Fortunately, they find a cave, work together to drive off a red snake in the pool, and get a brief chance to recover.
The frightening part is that, while she sleeps, someone seals her acupoints so she can't see. A wet, soft, slippery snake tail wraps around her waist.
Xie Xifeng:!
Help! I have a snake at home!
She thinks the red snake from the pool has come looking to dual cultivate with her, and tries to reason with the big snake. "See? Go for the one next to me. She's stronger. I can't do it right now; I don't have any spiritual energy to give you."
Xue Fuyin: "..."
So you're leaving me to deal with my heat on my own?

At last, the System finishes loading...
Good news: The novel's plot is finally clear!
Bad news: The female lead comes from the demonic cult.
Good news: Like the little snake demon, the female lead is a beautiful snake with a deep blue body!
Bad news: The female lead is highly venomous. She could kill someone just by spitting on them.
Good news: The female lead is now a disciple of Yunmeng Hall!
Bad news: The female lead is Xue Fuyin, a spy planted by the demonic cult.
Xie Xifeng: ...
What the hell?
