[Prince of Tennis] Tezuka in Kansai

IF: Tezuka.

The age of twelve was a pivotal dividing line in Tezuka's life.

After entering junior high, the usually composed Tezuka began to feel inexplicably uneasy from time to time, but could never figure out why.

An upperclassman who wanted to test Tezuka's ability offered him a spot in the regulars' match as an inducement to play a game. The result was beyond doubt: Tezuka won without even needing to use his dominant hand.

But then the unexpected happened. Someone who had seen the JR tournament revealed that Tezuka was left-handed. Unable to stomach the humiliation, the upperclassman angrily swung his racket at Tezuka.

No one expected things to end this way. Tezuka was seriously injured.

The Seigaku tennis club still had matches to play and couldn't afford a violent incident, so the attacker was made to leave the club, given a demerit, and transferred, while all the first-years on the tennis team were granted the chance to compete for regulars' spots.

Tezuka's grandfather called in a favor to get him treatment. And so Tezuka began his studies in Kansai.
