(Main story complete)
Cheng Xiao had loved Cheng Ye for many years, but the two of them could never be together.
Handsome, dashing police officer VS seemingly quiet and well-behaved fugitive female suspect.
Cheng Xiao had witnessed humanity at its ugliest and plunged into its deepest darkness.
After everything had settled, Cheng Ye asked the girl he had once "shot dead" with his own hands what had kept her going through those days when she couldn't tell dawn from dusk, those days of endless darkness.
Cheng Xiao looked at the man before her, who shone like a light, and said, "Because of you."
Because of you, I was able to escape the endless darkness.
