Yi Nanqi is incredibly unlucky. Even drinking cold water can make him choke badly enough to end up in the hospital.
As he watches the sunset beneath a bridge, he sometimes thinks back on his past.
He was rich once, too.
He wore gorgeous cat clothes, ate delicacies from land and sea, and sampled the freshest fish in the world.
How did he end up so down and out?
Some clueless idiot kicked a ball right into his forehead, turning him from the great king of cats into a two-legged creature!
Yi Nanqi just can't swallow this insult.
One rainy evening, as he watched a "waterfall" beneath the bridge, an unwelcome visitor appeared.
The man was soaked and looking for shelter from the rain. Ever helpful, Yi Nanqi brought him into the space beneath the bridge.
After drying his face, Yi Nanqi took a good look: What a handsome guy.
Then he looked again: Damn it, why does he look so much like the guy who kicked the ball?
He saw that face just before he went flying through the air!
It had to be that bastard. He was the one who turned him into this!
Yi Nanqi: I'm going to get revenge! (Fierce cat face!)
Bian Du was stranded outside the city with a broken phone. As he searched for someone to lend him a phone, a little homeless guy picked him up and took him beneath a bridge.
The little homeless guy was very helpful at first, then inexplicably started making a vicious face. But after keeping it up for a while, he softened again. It was kind of cute.
He was also a bit of a simpleton.
When asked if he needed help with anything, the little homeless guy raised one finger. "You have to give me a cat bed!"
Bian Du: How can this guy be such an idiot? How is he supposed to survive out here on his own?!
Then, in a moment of kindness, he took the little homeless guy home...
And from then on...
Life was a chaotic whirlwind, with something exciting happening every day.
The all-capable little homeless guy kept getting into all kinds of trouble.
But you couldn't scold him.
The moment you did, his eyes would fill with tears, and Bian Du would feel sorry for him.
If Bian Du insisted on criticizing him, the little homeless guy would give him a gift.
Grass from the roadside, flowers from the garden, clouds in the sky, shadows on the ground.
He gave him everything.
Bian Du was often baffled: When did this little homeless guy become such a spoiled tyrant? Why couldn't he get rid of him?
And the little tyrant would give him a gentle kiss on the cheek. "You owe me, meow!"
Even after he learned Bian Du hadn't been the one to hit him, it was still, "Your little brother owes me, meow! You can pay me back."
