I'm incredibly jealous of people who can freely choose their careers.
Because ever since I was born, my current job was already decided for me: HR for a criminal organization.
Honestly, I don't really understand the point of my job, just as I don't understand why indentured servitude contracts are still legal and enforceable in the 21st century.
Our organization never recruits publicly.
And poaching employees isn't something I get to do, either.
As an HR employee, I don't even have to conduct interviews myself. Oh, wait, I do sometimes.
But these people are all going to get hired anyway. I guess the point of my interviews is just to record their weird quirks.
The sniper we hired not long ago used to be the bassist in a bar band.
Why would someone who plays bass be good at shooting?
The intelligence specialist interviewing today, well, was personally recommended by Vermouth.
What an impressive work history!
Luxury goods sales clerk, barista, hotel cleaner...
I really want to write "unqualified"...
Content warning: This story mainly focuses on the inner workings of the Black Organization, with little from the good guys' side. There's a strong chance the female lead will end up spending a few years eating pork cutlets in prison.
Haven't decided on a CP yet. Just saving the idea for now.
